Detailed Tour Description
Step 1
The Nutrition Care factory has been specifically designed and built according to the latest Therapeutic Goods Administration’s compliance standard. The walls are constructed of precast panels; production equipment is wash in place or portable to a specific wash area while major services such as compressed air, HVAC etc are located externally to the manufacturing are. The interior finish has been designed to be suitable to package non sterile products in solid dosage and liquid form to comply with the TGA requirements which consists of powder coated sandwich panel, epoxy resin floor and angled window ledges to allow easy cleaning.
Air quality to the production facility is base on supplying a minimum of 20 air changes/hour with a 20 kpa difference between the clean corridor and production rooms and a further 20 kPa difference between the air lock and change room and the warehouse area. Temperature and humidity is monitored and controlled to ensure that only the highest possible quality standards are maintained.
Step 2
Nutrition Care uses only the best quality starting materials to ensure we always finish with premium quality product. Wherever possible Nutrition Care uses only international compendia standard raw materials. Nutrition Care sources materials as necessary from all around the world, including generic and proprietary ingredients, non-GMO, non-allergenic (e.g. Yeast & gluten free) and an extensive range of herbal materials.
Step 3 - Dispensary
Nutrition Care’s Dispensary is where the manufacturing process begins for products and pharmaceutical powders. Using the latest in environmental controls, ingredients are weighed out for production as specified in the master formula documentation. This documentation is used to record the raw materials, batch numbers & quantities dispensed during this phase. This remains as the primary quality assurance document for the product throughout the manufacturing process.
Step 4 - Wet Granulation
Wet granulation is a blending process, which uses liquid solutions to bridge and bind the particles of the dispensed mix into a compressible mix. By incorporating liquids this process also facilitates an even dispersion of active ingredient and weight throughout the mix. Suitable for certain products only this process ensures homogeneity & bioavailability within mixes not suited to "dry" blending operations.
Step 5 - Tablet Compression
Nutrition Care uses high speed, latest technology pharmaceutical tablet presses which support products and customers with large batch run requirements.
Producing in excess of 100,000 tablets per hour these presses are state-of-the-art technology. For smaller product runs, slower, less automated presses are offered to ensure the manufacturing solution remains cost effective. Nutrition Care has an extensive inventory of tablet tooling for manufacturing a wide range of shapes & sizes.
Step 6 - Tablet Coating
Nutrition Care operates highly automated pharmaceutical coating equipment with both aqueous and enteric film coating capabilities.
Nutrition Care has extensive experience in the use of colouring agents and there is large range of colour solutions available.
Step 7 - Liquid Product Manufacture & Packaging
Nutrition Care offers small to moderate volume capability for liquid manufacture and packaging as per individual product and customer requirements. To enable Nutrition Care to handle these requirements, equipment and rooms are specifically designed so as to be interchangeable between different rooms and work areas. This allows for effective and short cleaning and changeover times, while catering for specific product needs.
Step 8 - Powder Filling
Nutrition Care offers small to large volume capability for powder filling as per individual product and customer requirements. Again, equipment and rooms have been specifically designed so as to be interchangeable between high volume and small run capabilities.
Step 9 - Two Piece Encapsulation
Nutrition Care manufactures a wide range of two piece hard shell capsules using its encapsulation suite. This is designed from small runs of 10,000 capsules to runs of 300,000 plus.
Steps 10, 11 & 12 - Packaging
Nutrition Care offers an extensive range of packaging solutions for product bottling to your specific individual requirements. This constitutes both high volume and low volume automated pharmaceutical packaging equipment solutions including bottle inverters, desiccant inserters, counters, labelling & online coding, shrink wrapping & final cartoning.
