An Overview

Manufacturing Plant

Manufacturing Plant

Nutrition Care Pharmaceuticals (NCP) has vast experience manufacturing capsule, tablet and powdered natural pharmaceutical products. These include vitamin, mineral, herbal, amino acid and complex nutritional/therapeutic products. Many of our products use the very latest in material technology. For instance, products containing micro encapsulated ingredients, vegetable based and enteric-coated products. Tablet product is offered in a broad range of sizes, shapes, colours and powdered material can be offered with varying particle size and flow rate. Nutrition Care’s customer base for these products spans clients in Australia, NZ, SEA and China.

Dispensary

Nutrition Care’s Dispensary is where the manufacturing process begins for products and pharmaceutical powders. Using the latest in environmental controls, ingredients are weighed out for production as specified in the master formula documentation. This documentation is used to record the raw materials, batch numbers & quantities dispensed during this phase & then remains the primary quality assurance document for the product throughout the manufacturing process.

Wet granulation is a blending process, which uses liquid solutions to bridge and bind the particles of the dispensed mix into a compressible aggregate. By incorporating liquids this process also facilitates an even dispersion of active ingredient and weight throughout the mix. Suitable for certain products only this process ensures homogeneity & bioavailability within mixes not suited to "dry" blending operations.

Compression

Compression is the process whereby material is processed into tablets. NCP has an extensive inventory of compression machines and tablet tooling for manufacturing a wide range of shapes & sizes. High speed, high technology pharmaceutical tablet presses support customers with large batch run requirements producing in excess of 100,000 tablets per hour these presses are state-of-the-art technology. For smaller batch customers slower, less automated presses are offered to ensure the manufacturing solution remains cost effective. All tablets produced are checked for there physical and chemical properties via a stringent quality control program.

Film Coating

NCP operates high volume, automated pharmaceutical coating equipment with both aqueous and enteric film coating capabilities. NCP has extensive experience in the use of coloring agents & there is large range of colours available.

NCP manufactures a wide range of two piece hard shell capsules using its encapsulation suite. This is designed for small runs of 10,000 capsules to runs of 200,000 plus.

Liquid Manufacture

NCP manufactures and packages liquids in various pack sizes for both Nutrition Care products and as per individual customer requirements.

Quality Laboratory

NCP's stringent quality control process is managed within our state-of-the-art laboratory. Staffed by a team of qualified chemists, in-process testing is carried out through each phase of manufacturing to ensure the highest quality product. The finished product is then analysed again to guarantee safety & efficacy before final release for sale. Tests include High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC) & Atomic Absorption spectrophotometry (AA).

These tests are underpinned by an extensive library of validated test methods and authenticated botanical reference standards developed either in-house or sourced from the latest international research.

The purpose of stability testing is to ensure the product meets 100% of label claim through the duration of shelf life. Product Expiry dating is determined using the ICH program for stability testing. As a result, Nutrition Care products feature an expiration date based on actual data. NCP also offers a range of contractual stability programs according to ICH, so as to satisfy the requirements of the latest GMP regulations.
