Dispensary

The Nutrition Care Dispensary is where the manufacturing process begins for all products. Ingredients are weighed out for production as specified in the master formula documentation. This documentation is used to record the raw materials, batch number, and quantity dispensed during this phase and remains the primary quality assurance document for the product throughout the manufacturing process.

Granulation

Wet granulation is a blending process, which uses liquid solutions to bridge and bind the particles of the dispensed mix into a compressible aggregate. By incorporating liquids this process also facilitates an even dispersion of active ingredient and weight throughout the mix. Suitable for certain products only this process ensures homogeneity & bioavailability within mixes not suited to "dry" blending operations.

Compression

Compression is the process whereby material is processed into tablets. NCP has an extensive inventory of compression machines and tablet tooling for manufacturing a wide range of shapes & sizes. High speed, high technology pharmaceutical tablet presses support customers with large batch run requirements producing in excess of 100,000 tablets per hour these presses are state-of-the-art technology.

For smaller batch customers, slower less automated presses are offered to ensure the manufacturing solution remains cost effective. All tablets produced are checked for their physical and chemical properties via our stringent Quality Control program.

Film Coating

NCP operates high volume, automated pharmaceutical coating equipment with both aqueous and enteric film coating capabilities. NCP has extensive experience in the use of colouring agents with a large range of colours available.

These tests are underpinned by an extensive library of validated test methods and authenticated botanical reference standards developed either in-house or sourced from the latest international research.

Stability Trials are set-up for all Nutrition Care branded products. The purpose of stability testing is to ensure the product meets 100% of label claim through the duration of shelf life. Product Expiry dating is determined using the ICH program for stability testing. As a result, Nutrition Care products feature an expiration date based on actual data.
